Unless your hips, thighs, and calves got heavy overnight, then don't expect them to get thin overnight.

Exercise more than you currently are doing. Walking is great, and free.

Eat less than you are doing. More complex carbs like veggies and whole grains, and less dairy, cheeses, fats, fatty meats, etc.

Be persistent. Messing up once in a while is not a disaster ... messing up consistenly is.

its like training for swimming. you go in a pool adn hang on to the side with your streched hands and you move your feet as if you were swimming for like 15 miuntes. you'll feel the burn!!!!!!!!!!!
You should go to the gym and exersise. You will get thinner. Your hips won't get thinner they are bone not fat. Don't over due it though, then you'll be muscley and it will look like fat too...
I would suggest an all McDonald's diet with as little exertion of energy as possible.

Bike riding and running are very very good for thinning and muscleing up the legs..........I did last summer a 210 mile bike ride and my legs look freakin awsome........atleast 60 mins a day should be great for you

you got them the natural way by what you eat and your excersize eat the junk foods less and eat more healthy
cake icecream pizza etc.. are your source of of being over weight
now you can eat these but do it in moderation see you doctor he can put you on a diet and excrersize program also swimming is a very good excersize it makes every muscle in your body work
This seems too easy, less carbs,more fruit and protein. Start walking, as far as you can at first, then ever farther. Walk faster then faster you dont need to run. When you feel good break it up with cycling. Did i mention drink 5 to 8 glasses of water a day this breaks up and eliminates toxins. Also the water you drink today is not available to your system until tomorrow? Remember calories are not as important as what they are made of. Calories from sugar and starch bad,calories from protein fruits vegetables good.
