is peanut butter really good for you?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, it really is! It does have a high fat content, but the fat is all unsaturated and there is virtually no saturated or trans fat (both of these are correlated with developing blocked arteries, heart disease and even some cancers). The main type of unsaturated fat they contain is "monounsaturated" which has been scientifically shown to decrease risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol and promoting removal of plaque build-up in the arteries. The one downside to all this good fat is the calories (about 190 kcal in 2 Tbs). So if you are trying to lose weight or simply maintain your weight, you need to watch the amount of peanut butter you consume.
Other Answers:
it has protein and vitamins.. but it is loaded with sugar and fat too. so be careful what you buy.

yeah, peanut oil is the best kind for your body. It has the good kinds of fat that are needed by your body. Of course its easy to over-do-it so use it when you want and where it needs to be used but don't smather it over everything you eat.
Peanut butter is an excellent source of protein. If you're worried about nutritional value, I would suggest organic peanut butter (available at all natural/health food stores/co-ops). It's peanut butter without all the preservatives and stuff. It may look different, but when you buy it, stir it around with a knife first, and it will taste yummy!
Peanut butter is good for you. It's high in Protein. If you can't stand the cals don't eat to much. Most people replace the meat they would eat with pb
It has protien, viatimins, and all that crap. The caliories it has are good calories.
Just look at the Fat to Calorie ratio. If the Calories from fat are over 1/3 of the Calories, it's not good.
All foods you eat should have a maximim of 1/3 Calories from fat.
hi
you have to know how to use it, not every day, but i think it wud be good to use it 1nce a week.
cause im a thin girl
and most of the ppl suggested me to eat peanut butter @ night b4 sleeping,to put on weights.
but if u wanna use it, eat as a breakfast, just 1 spoon. more is getting u fat :D
Not necessarily. It is a known allergen, can cause inflammation over many years, and contains too much Omega 6 oils.
Our society intakes too much Omega 6. The ratio people usually has is 20 to 1 (1 being Omega 3.)
Get rid of potatoe chips, dressings and other stuff that contains the most common vegetable oils.
Get a supplement of Flax Oil (which is rich in Omega 3), and take twice a day (once in morning and once in afternoon.) Get cinamon if you can find it, if not, bear the taste and drink juice afterwards.
Good health,
Cheryl
it is only if its natural peanut butter yes, good source of fiber
