Does drinking hot water with lemon in it. help with weight loss?

Question:
I have heard that if you drink Hot water with a slice of lemon inside it every morning it helps with weight loss. Is this true? And is it Dangerous?

Answers:
As opposed to weight loss I believe this helps more with water retention and detoxifying your system. It is a good alternative to any kind of processed drink but if you're looking to go healthy then just drink water. this is the best thing for you. If you really want to lose weight though the answer is simple, eat natural foods and lots of vege's and unprocessed meats. avoid all processed foods and EXERCISE!

Just as an aside.. do not listen to the person who has advised you to add salt to it. This is a poor attempt at a joke as that is definitely not good for you and could make you sick.

Other Answers:
it wont help much ,just take the edge of hunger ,but will help with DE toxin your body

I'm not sure about weight loss, but thats a cure/ prevention for a hangover. yes it does

It helps, if you drink it instead of soda

I have never heard about this before. Do you think it´s true? i will try that , i can use some weight loss lol

if it replaces the other drinks , like tea, coffee, soft drinks, the answer is yes, it also reduces the hunger feelings, so all in all Id say yes.

It`s called finger bowl and does not reduce weight.

yes ofcourse but u can also add little bit of salt in it , it is also helpful try it . all the best to u I doubt that there's any easy method for weight loss. If you drink lemon water in place of other more calorie-saturated drinks (chocolate milk, ovalteen, soda) I'm sure that it could have some effect upon your weight loss goals -- but, as some miracle-cure for being overweight, I doubt it. You'd be much better off just eating a little less of every meal, and walking a little more each day.

No.. But if you take a spoon of honey before bed, it burns calories as you sleep. I doubt very much that a slice of lemon with hot water is a hazard to your health. Only if you spill it on yourself it may scald :)

The best way to lose weight. STOP EATING when you are no longer hungry. There is no need to eat everything on the plate, just because it taste good.

yes..it does..but that s not enough if u want to lose weight I have found it useful, it is calorie free and the sourness stops you wanting to eat.. somehow! I think herb teas/ lemon tea serve the same purpose. I just squeeze half a lemon into a coffee cup
but you could use less. Definitely not dangerous and definitely not a miracle weight loss solution.

I have heard that if you drink Hot water with a slice of lemon inside it every morning it helps with weight loss. Is this true? And is it Dangerous pls tell me ans i m waiting

Well. yes and no. Drinking your 8 glasses of water a day everyday will help you in your weight loss, as long as it's part of a healty diet. So, your hot water with lemon could help you a little. But, just doing that and nothing else isn't going to make any difference.
I personally use hot water and lemon for a sore throat and hoarseness.

In a way it does, its not a very healthy way of doing it though, its sort of like backwards bulimia, hot water and lemon will help flush out ur body, ppl like liz hurley used to do it, but it made her look ill she was so thin, try one small glass a day (in the morning) and it should help towards weight loss. dont over do it tho Starting your day with a glass of hot lemon increases the production of bile in the liver, kick-starting your metabolism in the mornings, it won't make you lose weight, but it is a clever thing to do.
