Is it okay to workout and shower, and then eat?
Question:
Answers:
I personally believe that working out on am empty stomach is a bad idea. You need fuel for that physical work, especially after not eating anything for the past 6-8 hours due to sleep. Your body will burn your muscles in order to have energy and losing muscles is always a bad thing.
Other Answers:
Only if you wait 30 minutes or more after your workout is finished to start eating. If you don't then you are not helping your metabolism any at all.
yeah if ur eating healthy ^_^
you should eat right after you work out while your metabolic rate is still in overdrive, then take your shower.
I think there is nothing wrong with that
is there any other way. i know i dont want to walk around all day in something i worked out in
sounds fine to me.. i have done the same thing for years.. exercise makes you not want to eat so much either.. but try and get exercise during the day as much as possible .. like instead of taking the elevator take the stairs.think of things to do for just 20 minutes every few hours to burn a few calories and keep your metabolism up ..

my answer and my opinion to this question
you get more out of your workout when you work out before you eat. if you eat right after you might want to stick with something small and light if you did a hard workout though.
.
I eat like a piece of fruit, then work out then shower, then eat the rest of my breakfast. but the way you do it seems fine to me!
perfectly fine the human body was not always afforded the privelege of refrigeration and having someone else do all the work for you. once upon a time that was not too long ago we hunted every day for food and often still went hungry. so your body can endure exercise without first eating. but if you ever feel nauseated or dizzy sit down and relax. Some people may disagree but they are most likely fat bodies that dont want to make a change. good luck with your program and try to get some more cardio in the evenings and plenty of sleep. we generally lose a pound of weight after a full nights sleep. sorry to be long winded.
YOUR BODY WILL BURN FAT INSTEAD OF MUSCLE WITH EARLY WORKOUTS WITH THE SCHEDULE YOU ARE KEEPING
Physical exercise is an important complement to dieting in securing weight loss. Aerobic exercise is also an important part of maintaining normal good health, especially the muscular strength of the heart. To be useful, aerobic exercise requires maintaining a target heart rate of above 50 percent of one's maximum heart rate for 30 minutes, at least 3 times a week. Brisk walking can accomplish this.
The ability of a few hours a week of exercise to contribute to weight loss can be overestimated. To illustrate, consider a 100-kilogram man who wants to lose 10 kilograms and assume that he eats just enough to maintain his weight (at rest), so that weight loss can only come from exercise. Those 10 kilograms converted to work are equivalent to about 350 megajoules. (We use an approximation of the standard 37 kilojoules or 9 Calories per gram of fat.) Now assume that his chosen exercise is stairclimbing and that he is 20 percent efficient at converting chemical energy into mechanical work (this is within measured ranges). To lose the weight, he must ascend 70 kilometers. A man of normal fitness (like him) will be tired after 500 meters of climbing (about 150 flights of stairs), so he needs to exercise every day for 140 days (to reach his target).
The minimum safe dietary energy intake (without medical supervision) is 75 percent of that needed to maintain basal metabolism. For our hypothetical 100-kilogram man, that minimum is about 5,700 kilojoules (1,300 Calories) per day. By combining daily aerobic exercise with a weight-loss diet, he would be able to lose 10 kilograms in half the time (70 days). Of course, the described regime is more rigorous than would be desirable or advisable for many persons. Therefore, under an effective but more manageable weight-loss program, losing 10 kilograms (about 20 pounds) may take as long as 6 months.
There are also some easy ways for people to take exercise, such as walking rather than driving, stairclimbing istead of taking elevators, doing more housework, or parking the cars farther and walking to school or office can all be very good exercise
It's fine in that order as long as your not eating a bunch of junk when u eat, eat healthy stuff & stuff with protein in it & drink lots of water. Good luck U can do it, have a safe & fun 4th.
Actually it is best for your body to eat IMMEDIATELY after a workout even if it is something small (protein bar, an apple, almonds) to replenish your system, then have a shower, then eat your breakfast. Working out before breakfast is the best way to start your day and lose weight, however if you are doing a long, hard workout you might want to eat a little something to give you a bit of energy (orelse you'll becme light headed) since your body is in fasting mode from going the whole night without eating. Even if you have breakfast right after your workout, then shower, that is fine too. As long as you get something in you after your work out - it's also the time when your body is still working hard, burning the most calories.

Eat something light (like a banana or apple) before working out to start your metabolism. My doctor told me to eat protein within 30 minutes of exercise to enhance the effects on my metabolism that the exercise caused. Take a quick shower and then eat, or have something prepared that you can warm up and enjoy at a more leisurely pace.
Yes that is the one of the best ways to burn body fat.
Your body is in a fasted state (all the glycogen in your body is gone) in the morning from not eating for 6-8 hours, so your body will rely on stored bodyfat for a fuel source while you are exercising.
Actually to keep your body burning bodyfat, you should wait up to 2 hours after your workout (drink water, lots) then have a small protein containing breakfast.
If you are hungry, ALWAYS eat before workout, not after.
Besides, never go to bed within 1 hour after eating.
