5'9"- 148 lbs? How can I lose more weight?

Question:
I started the year off at 162 lbs, well as of today I am down to 148 lbs, however it seems like that is the LOWEST that I ever get. I need to try to stay motivated or something..... I want to keep losing weight somehow and get out of this "groove" I'm stuck in of being 148- ......How did any of you overcome the whole I can't lose anymore weight thing?? AND- if you have lost weight let me know what you were before and how much you weigh now & how tall you are....(if you feel like it of course).....

Thank you-

Answers:
Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

i dont think you need to loose weight you seem just fine....
Truthfully, it sounds like 148 is a good weight for you, I'd concentrate more on toning rather than losing..
that's fine
Take your time and use this plateau to get used to it. Managing your weight is a lifetime thing! Or start recording and measuring all you can eat...you might be playing tricks with yourself. Hang in there!
Reduce you caloric intake and begin resistance (weight) training. You should aim for 125! You can do it!
Last year at this time I was 5'9" and 160 lbs. Now I am 135 lbs. It took me a year but I lost 25 lbs. by not eating between meals or after supper. And I walked everyday. I did hit a plateau of 145 lbs. for about two months. Then my body started to lose again. Don't give up. Good Luck
hm

beeing smart:)
i think your weight is good enough you dont want to lose to much and make yourself sick what are you trying to get down too?
I actually have that "groove" as well. Actually i did, until i got out of it. i actually got back from the doctor today, and he said i was doing great. I'm 5'7 and used to weigh 150. I used to not be able to get out of 140. But instead of trying to starve my self or trying to work out till i couldn't feel my legs anymore...i found a moderation. You have to eat. It's a must. But eat nutritiously and eat ONLY to satisy your hunger. It's important to get some protein in the morning so that you don't hit a slump after getting a sugar high. it helps you balance. Also, when you work out, try doing high intensity cardio. I did 5 days a week [ if you do everyday, you tend to get discouraged and tired.] of 35 -40 mins on the eliptical. I easily burned 500 calories. Also, make sure you get some weight training in so that you are burning more calories as well. Try to burn as many calories as you can, compared to how many you consume. I'm at 135 now, and steadily decreasing. Don't get discouraged. Kepp your hopes up and keep trying!
Your weight is fine for a guy. Perhaps you need to tone specific muscle groups.

Myself I'm 5'11" and 147 pound male with an athletic build and underweight.
Have you ever been told what your ideal weight range is by a health professional, because at your height I'm pretty sure you don't need to lose more weight.
That couled be why it is hard for you now. Your body is proably happy the way it is.
If you keep eating healthy and exercising, and focus on maintaining your weight, you will probably keep losing a little more.
You don't need to lose more weight. Don't obsess over it and just enjoy yourself.

5'5" and 164 -- so don't complain!
Do cardio.
