How do you prevent a sunburn from peeling and help it into a tan?

Question:
because it burns....ouch!

Answers:
My grandmother told me to apply vinegar to the sunburn, Does it work? I don't know....I never wanted to smell like a salad

Other Answers:
Use Aloe Vera juice.. it will reduce the itch and the burn but it will still peel... unless you are a redhead and therefore cursed to a life of pale skin it should become a tan after it peels
moisturize. get a lotion called "after tan" and slather it on...constantly!! stay OUT of hot water..this will make your skin bubble and peel..It may already be too late to prevent peeling. In the future, use sunscreen to get an awesome tan..Tan slowly, avoiding burn is the key to not peeling. Good luck and go style your tan..After your tan fades keep it going with a sunless tan...Ban de Soleil makes a good one, so does Neutrogena.
hello?.....don't get burned! its a little known FACT that you still tan while wearing sunblock, so wear it? what's the point in having pretty bronzed skin if you're bald from needing chemotherapy because u gave urself skin cancer? oh, that skin you fried, it's dead. it's going to peel, just like any naturally occuring dead skin cells would.
