The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. It takes time. Most people don't show a weight loss until after 10 weeks. There is no quick fix. Running is the most effective weight loss. Only weigh yourself in the morning on three days and then average it.
You have to skip a few meals. Don't completely starve yourself but you definitely need to reduce your eating. Eat only 2 meals a day instead of 3. Drink more water because you shouldn't leave your stomach empty.
fasting drink lots of water and nothing else youll pee a lot but after a few days youll lose about 3 or 4 lbs. DONT weigh yourself till 4th day water weighs a lot
In wrestling we would go to the bathroom and throw up to make weight. If you are serious about it, that calls for serious measures. Put a sweater on and take a jog around the block, take 1,6 or 7 laps at whatever discretion. Do that for a week, the pounds will drop. Put 2 sweaters on and you will sweat like a pig
Whatever you do,just trust me on this. When you sweat, you know you are doing something right. So make sure you are sweating good, whatever you are doing.
If you can stick to it, try the "Rice Diet" for a week or so, I lost 11 pounds on it! It's not fun, but it works! I don't know about an inch a week but I have found that the fastest and easiest way to lose weight is to go back to the basics. Diet and exercise. The Weight Watchers program has helped me and I have lost over 50 pounds and can still eat what I want! Good luck!!
