Can someone give me some really good thigh and butt exercises?

Question:
I really want to tone up my thighs and butt, can someone give me some really good moves or whatever works for you?

Answers:
Squats, lunges, and plie squats are what come directly to mind. You can even hold two 5 lb. dumbbells in each hand while executing the moves for an extra burn, although if your just starting out you might want to go without extra weight for now. Also, doin hydrants, where you are on all fours, and you lift your leg up to hip-level with your knee still bent, really targets your glutes (i.e. your butt). As far as walking and running, try about 15 mins. at a moderate speed, which is about 1 mile if your walking briskly.

Other Answers:
power walking..its good for all areas and easy on the knees and back

Try getting Tony Little's Target training exercise(for thighs and butt) tapes and work out.Ride your bike for an hour,do squats. walking is more for toning the muscles and jogging/running is more for building musclues.

Squats and lunges are excellent moves to work the thighs and butt, in conjunction with running or powerwalking.

Well. i guess you heard it! SQUATS, LUNGES and climbing stairs really work.

If you have a treadmill with incline, start out at the slowest speed at 0% incline. After every minute, increase speed by one while increasing the inlcine level by 1%. 1% to 2%, 3% to 4% until you reach 10% incline. Continue this until you reach the highest level incline and then walk at the highest level for five minutes. Once the five minutes is up work your way back down to 0% incline. Once you reach 0% incline, jog for 5 minutes. Repeat this twice (adds up to about 60 minutes if the highest level inlcline is 10.) if you cannot do the full 60 minutes, do it for 30 and work your way up.

*works great for butt and thighs

also, any form of lunges, whether its walking lunges, squats, jumping sqauts, sumo lunges, etc. they will help tone your butt and thighs as well.
