I run 3 miles eveyday and im in shape BUT i want to get buffer what do i need to do?

Running is great cardio and getting in overall good tone.
You've probably noticed your defintion is pretty good in the legs and glutes.
On being more 'buff', do you mean wish you had better definition in all muscle groups?
If so, then you need to go to the gym, do resistance training and increase the protien in your diet. Get good massages after strenuous sessions and you will not ache so much.
Running is great however you lose fat and a little muscle mass. You need to lift heavy. Do high weights and low reps. If you do this and continue running, your going to be ripped

You need to do some weight bearing exercises. Push-ups, lifting, resistance moves.
