IS Ramen Noodles bad for you?

Answers:
They are not necessarily bad for you. Like every other food item, it all depends on how much you eat. Ramen noodles do have a good deal of fat, carbohydrates and salt, and not much else. You are getting nothing from eating them - they aren't a good source for any vitamin or mineral (except they do have a little bit of iron). Basically, empty calories.

I woudn't recommend eating them constantly - and I certainly wouldn't recommend them as a main part of your diet. If you want to enjoy them on occassion, go right ahead.

Ramen, like everything, is bad for you in exaggeration. If you eat nothing but ramen, the starch will cause you to gain weight and have some skin problems. If you eat it constantly, mix in veggies and fruits for snacks to balance out your diet.

Yes. They are basically sodium and pasta. If you take a look at the sodium content you will see what I mean, Also, take note that one square package it two servings. I know someone who got scurvy from eating ramen for 3 monthes:(.

My mom yells at me when I eat them because they're 'really high in sodium'. Personally, of all the dietary things to be concerned about, sodium is right down there with water. I don't think they're very healthy (especially considering how far they've been shipped), but I don't let it stop me. Plus, cheap!

If you read the package contents...there are a lot of chemical additives, flavors and so on. There is not really that much healthy stuff inside. Low protein and so on. That being said...ramen is a quick, easy meal. I like them occasionaly and I am a health nut type person.

Duh! They are awful, they're gonna kill you! (Well, not exactly.) Just read the ingredients list. If you can't pronounce it, it's bad for you. And also if you can read it, it's probably still bad for you.

They are not bad for you, nor are they good for you. make sure you eat healthier things too, but instead of using the powder stuff that comes in those lil packets with them, use chicken broth. the powder is filled with bad sodium. switching to chicken broth take away a TON of calories!

yes, since there are preservatives...try to avoid the seasoning and other packs of stuff that they give you. the noddles are okay

Yes it IS bad for you, sad to say (And yes I know what ramen noodles are). It's because it contains like 5 million grams of MSG.

It has MSG (mono sodium glutemate). This stuff is really bad for your health. It makes you want to eat more and has unnoticable but adverse affects on your internal body.
