Crystal Light making me fatter?

Question:
I heard that the aspartame in crystal light stores body fat, in which making you gain weight.

I drink about 4 bottles of it a day so I can get my water I need. Also, I'm dieting and exercising. I'm attempting to lose about 10 lbs.

Is drinking Crystal Light sabotaging my weight loss goals?

Answers:
yea the whole advertising campaign for crystal light is that it has low calories...I think 5 per serving, so it's like drinking flavored water. But what they don't tell you (as you found out) is that some of their products do contain aspartame. The crystal light bottles, however, do not have aspartame, instead it uses splenda. So you may want to use that instead.

Other Answers:
No!
my your just drinking to much of it and getting blouted
Yes. Aspartame is not good for you. Drink water if you need hydration. Limit your calorie intake to just a little less than your exercise regime needs and look at the KIND of carbs you are taking in. Slow release ones are better for you than quick.

it is not the drink. it is the Twinkies that you eat before it
i can't say for certain but i believe it possible. aspartame also does a number of other bad things to you that would make weight gain seem minor. if you want flavored water, add some lemon or lime juice. pretty boring i know but it's better than having aspartame in your system.

While it is well-known that aspartame contains phenylalanine and is unsafe for those born with phenylketonuria, research has also indicated more recently that aspartame can be implicated in other public health issues and holds serious health risks.

I have even heard that Aspertame makes you eat more. It causes the mouth to dry out, and then a person has a tendency to not only drink to prevent the dryness, but eat as well. I am dieting as well, and staying away from artificial sweeteners when I can. I know I can't get away from them completely. Good luck with your diet.
my professor always tells me that some people are healed because of their minds. "mind over matter"

just do some yoga instead, and i think that stretchings in Yoga sessions can burn fat.

anyway, you can try some medications "proven" to burn fat and lose weight. there is Orlistat with the brandname of Xenical, it might be a bit expensive, the dosage is three times a day...

my friend tried Xenical, she said that her stools were oily, she perspired a lot. now, i guess that's just the mechanism of the drug. and i really think it is effective. although she stopped taking it because it was expensive.

there are also suppressants like Phentermine Resin with the brandname of Ionamin or Duromine, they're available only in prescriptions, and these drugs target the CNS that's why i really don't recommend taking it.

for the natural ones, a really good diet is way too cheap, effective, safe but..... a bit frustrating....

patience is the key.... just wait and the results will be Priceless
No, Crystal Light has no calories. You may want to look at the other times you're consuming for caloric intake, fats, carb..etc.
