I need to lose a couple of inches off my waist & hip !?

Question:
Hi, i am a 20yr old girl, 5'6" tall & have a waist of 34 inches. am i fat ? i still want to reduce a couple of inches on my waist & my hip. i have just started walking an hour a day since 4 days & eating low fat, low carb stuff. could someone tell me of a specific exercise to get the inches off my waist & hip, please ?

Answers:
My favorite ab exercises are crunches and Roman chair. Unlike most other muscles, abs can be worked every day. Do make sure that you pull your abs tightly toward your spine when working them because the muscles will form in the position they are worked. Fail to do this and they can form bulging out which is not attractive.

There is no site specific way of losing fat. the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.

The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

Hmm. not fat, depending on hoe you are shaped, but if you'd feel better thinner, sounds like you are off to a good start. Elyptical machines are good for cardio and shaping.
34 inches, 5'6, yes you are fat woman.
If you want to know of a method that burns 9 ties more fat than regular exercise go to bodybuilding.com and search for HIIT. Very efective method.
One warning though, you must have good resistance or else your heart will suffer, and it exhausting, alot. But it works great.
Your waist is a little bit over what would be considered a healthy waist measurement. By medical standards, it is recommend that a woman have no more than a 32 inch waist for optimum health, ie reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Losing a couple of inches would be ideal. Definitely carry on what you are doing, also try to increase your intake of healthy proteins, such as egg whites, poultry, oily fish and lean beef. Get plenty of good carbs such as wholemeal foods and fruits/vegetables. Try drinking green tea and at least 4-8 glasses of water per day.

As for exercise, try aerobic kickboxing, as this is great for burning calories as well as toning and defining the waist line. Also try to do 100 crunches every other day. HTH : )
Pilates.makes you firm too! Try Denise Austin's book.you'll only need 10 min. a day! IT WORKS,
hula hoop!
No specific exercise will get the inches off your waist & hips. YOu are on the right track with the walking, but maybe you should add upper body exercises and ab exercises for toning. DON'T EXPECT SLIM WAIST UNTIL YOU LOSE WEIGHT.

Get serious with the diet also:: Drink lots of water.

Eat fruits & vegetables.

No alcohol
no bread
no burgers
No candy
No chips
no corn
no fried foods
No pasta
No pizza
No potatoes
No sodas
No sugar

Good Luck
Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills. . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)
