Why does organic milk have a much longer shelf life?

Question:
It seems that Organic milk has about 3-4 times the self life of regular milk. Why?

Answers:
No! Organic milk hasn't been pasteurized (heated to kill all microorganisms), so it will convert itself to cottage cheese if left to its own devices in the fridge. I have dealt with both organic and store-bought (my father owns a herd of cows), and I would say that store-bought has 3-4 times the (safe) shelf life or regular! Truly organic milk (which comes out of an organically fed cow and into a milk bucket, then into a jar in the fridge, and then into a glass) only retains its taste for a few days.

It is possible that the brand you have is not truly organic and the people who make it have done something weird to its chemistry, or pasteurized it to death. Check the back of the carton. Also, get someone else with a good nose to check.
Organic milk doesn't have the same processing factors has whole, skim 1% and 2% milk.
