a little chubby...?


Question:
im a boy thats 5'1 and 110 pounds, although my BMI is okay...i feel my abdominal fat is a little too much. i dont know if i should lose the weight or just start building muscle and wait for the fat to stretch when i get taller. do u have any tips and if so, tell me what technique i should use (stated above) or if there are anyways to build muscle/become fit in 4 weeks before i begin school. (i wanna look good and ready for physical activities)

Well exercise is always a good idea! If you get in the habit of doing it now, you will thank yourself later!! :) Doesn't sound like you're really overweight, so just watch your junk food intake, and start running around the neighborhood, or start by walking and build up to running. This will get you ready for gym class! :) A mix of cardio and lifting weights is good, just alternate days and you should be good to go. :)

try doing crunches (sit ups w/o going all the way up)
Start a steady exercise routine. Stretch, do curl-ups, run, left some weights. You have to eat right and maybe take some vitamins. You should consider joining a sport. That keeps me in shape.

Not sure of your age, so I can't recommend weight training without knowing and don't encourage it without someone knowledgeable to help you. If done improperly you can hurt yourself more than help.

You never said your age. That could be a factor in the way your body is right now.
Dont start weight lifting until you talk to a doctor...weight lifting isnt the best for young kids, start other physical activites, like soccer, tennis,basketball...if your not in the best shape dont overdo it and listen to your body, eat a healthy diet...ease into things and talk to your family doctor 1st. eat heathier avoid soft drinks and junk food!!!!
eat veggies fruit lean meat and milk and water
and go swimming a couple times a week and jog 2 miles a day
try playing basketball for 30 minutes a day and do floor crunches
this will help flatten your belly and remember if you lose wieght healthy then you will keep it off and you should always eat 3 meals a day a total of 2000 calories and have 25g of fat
There's never anything wrong with building muscle, regardless of what kind of shape you're in. If you feel like getting in better shape, do it. Establish good habits and keep them up. You'll thank yourself when you're older.
