Keeping cold to lose weight?

I am need to lose 7 more lbs before wrestling season (about 2 and a half weeks) and I am already eating right and cutting down portion sizes. I started to wear less layers and turn down my heat to burn more calories, hoping this could get me to my destination just a little faster, but I know that animals tend to store more fat during the winter for insulation. If I stay too cold will i just store fat and gain weight rather than lose it? Or will this not happen because I am already eating low fats and excercizing(running 20-25 miles a week)
