Before u run, you should stretch ur arms and legs.

Other Answers:
Sometimes you have to do an MRI to see if there is any damage to the cartilage and the ligaments. Also, if you have any history of trauma to the knee, it would cause pain. There are also other conditions, like arthritis (rheumatoid,. degenerative, etc) that could cause knee pain. There are also structural problems, i.e. leg length discrepancy, etc., which could cause knee and ankle pain. If you do have "weak knees", you might want to consider physical therapy to help you strengthen the muscles around the knee. You really should see an orthopedist for a complete evaluation.
That isn't true... Xrays don't tell the whole story. I suggest getting a referral out to an orthopod.
In the mean while.
You can do straight leg raises to strengthen your quads. Look up quad exercises on a search engine.... if you put your leg straight out in front of you on the couch and push hard down with your thigh so you are pushing your leg straight... do that and hold it 30 seconds x's 10 30 times a day.
Also squats, lunges... anything that works your thigh muscles will help with your knee. As for your ankle try doing the alphabet with your ankle 2 times a day. You actually rotate your ankle in the direction of all the letters.
when you get done ice down your muscles
before you start heat them up with a warm towel or shower
Go see an ortho when you can..
