How do you get an appetite?

Question:
i'm 5'6' and 110 pounds. i'm never hungry so i hardly ever eat. i'm always on the move and dont sleep well. i hate how bony my body is and i know i need to gain some weight. i hate how everyone i meet exclaims how skinny i am. i just dont have an appetite. i even started smoking to get the 'munchies' but alls i ever want is donuts and i'm to lazy to get in a car to go get some.

Answers:
At 5-6 you are not skinny.

Stop smoking, that suppresses your appetite. Also, stay away from caffeine because it does the same thing.

Eat lots of protein and then work out a lot at the gym with heavy weights. That puts on muscle and will make you look a lot better. Not only that, but if anyone insults the way you look, you can always beat them up.

Other Answers:
by eating some appetizers. Sorry I couldn't resist.
.i think u have to go at gym and start eating fruits. they have vitamins and some of them help put some kilos.chunky foods may sometimes help but do not eat too much such things!
well one day when you are not feeling so lazy just go out to the store and get alot of junk food these foods are really good and u really cant stop eating them and order pizza alot of fating food and then at night just stuff your face watching a funny movie or just a movie then just go to sleep thats what happened to me but i lost my wieght and thats all u have to do to gain wieght
I think it would be a good idea to get into the habit of eating at regular times, so eat at least 3 or 4 times a day, at the same time (give or take half an hour) each day. I think then you'll start feeling ready to eat at those times.
Also, take the time to make yourself some really delicious meals. Get a good recipe book and spend time choosing what you're going to eat, shopping for the right ingredients and cooking lots of good stuff. Include fresh herbs and lots of lovely fresh veg to make it smell lovely and appetising. That's soon get your appetite going! Have fun :-)
I have the same problems, I'm 5'1" and weigh very little!! I hate the way people poke at me and say "your so skinny" it makes me want to poke them and say "yeah well your so fat!" I see myself in the mirror every day I know how skinny I am I don't need some stranger poking at me and pointing it out, duh!! Some of us are self concious about it and don't like looking like this espically when people ask do you have an eating disorder.

Anyways I went to a nutrionist to get an idea of what to do to gain weight and she put me on this great diet that actaully works if I do it as given, but one thing it's 2000 calories a day, that's a lot of food for someone my size who isn't use to all of that.

So even though she said not to do this I am because it helps me gain an appetite. I have begun to exercise, not to lose weight though excersies that help tone my body, I have started riding my bike and this seems to help so in short the more active you are the more energy you burn therefore making you hungry.
o.k. stop the smoking..it isn't healthy. If you exercise everyday I gurantee that you'll have a hearty appetite for food. Also instead of donuts, try vegetables. They get your metabolism going and you'll want more food.

Good luck!
First, have you had your thyroid checked. Or you might be depressed. Both of those causes are easy to fix with a trip to the doctor. Since you don't have much of an appetite, I bet you don't eat much. I recommend that you make sure that whatever you do eat, is packed with good nutrients. While for most of us, donuts would be the worse thing to eat, I'd encourage you to eat as many as you can. If you like donuts, do you like the sausage rolls they make using donut dough? If so, then there is a source of protein and calories. Do you drink milk?
