Guys at the gym always look at me, but they do not know I'm much younger than them!?

Question:
How can I be polite, and feel safe at the gym?

Answers:
Guys at the gym look at everyone. If you ever feel unsafe, then ask for a gym employee to walk you to your ride or your car and don't enter the locker room alone. But, if your gym makes you feel *that* unsafe, you should change gyms.

Other Answers:
Give them dirty looks back if they are making you uncomfortable. If you feel unsafe there is no way to stop that by being polite.
wear a sign on your back that says I am 17
i really dont know but i have the same problem and its kinda freaky!! but its kinda cool sometimes bc the guys are really hot lol j/k!!
Unless you are being approached I wouldn't worry too much about it. Guys hanging out at the gym like looking but are not always necessarily going to approach you. Sometimes its a vanity issue where they are looking around to see if others are admiring them. If you're serious about your workout and don't want to be harassed by the others, just go about your routine. When you say younger than them, if you mean you are a minor and are approached, I would just let them know that. If anyone continues to harass you, I would let the staff know about it. They will usually take care of things if it gets out of hand.
Are you a guy or a girl? If you are a guy, tell them that they are perverts, and if you a girl tell them that they are more perverts than you thought they would be.
Seriously, depending on your gender it makes the difference of how you can take precautions on being on the gym. Specially if your age is greatly apart than those of them in the gym.
For safety, do not provoke them. After all the gym is a public place for public use. You should take your concern to the gym manager that way he or she could look after for you if indeed you are a minor.
and you're complaining??

well i do know what you mean.
try ignoring them. maybe you only notice them because you glance at them, which causes them to glance at you-perhaps they think you're checking them out!
if that doesn't work, i suggest going to a new gym.
How are you dressing yourself? I see a lot of women and young girls dressing in less than appropriate work out clothing and then wonder why men gaulk at them.

If you are dressing appropriately, then just ignore them, wear your headphones tune them out.

Unless of course you are liking the attention. Men are just like that sometimes.
so what
If you feel that unsafe at the gym, join another one, maybe a women's only one.

But seriously most people at at gym are vain and are obsessed with body image. If you look attractive, even if they are way older they are going to look at you.
