I used to binge drink a lot, like 2 to 3 times a week, from age 18-29. I am 30 now and have decided to.?

Question:
cut it down to once every 2 weeks or so. Sometimes a month will pass without a drink. When I did binge drink, it was really heavy drinking, with blackouts, etc. Is it possible I've already done damage to my body, and if I have, can it be healed from no longer drinking so much, or has the damage been done and it is irreversible? If it is irreversible, what kind of problems may I be looking at?

Answers:
Binge drinking is the worse kind of drinking for your liver. The damage may be reversible but If I were you I would stay off the alcohol.
It is possible that you've damaged your body. If damage has been done it is sadly irreversible. One possibility is cirrhosis of the liver. Stopping drinking would however stop further damage from occuring. Drinking 2-3 times a week isn't binge drinking. That's just drinking a LOT. What you're doing now is binge drinking.
Best wishes and take care.
