Question:

Answers:
Exercise, exercise, exercise, and eat healthy, nutritional foods.
Find activities that you enjoy . then do them regularly.

Prior to embarking on weight loss, do consult a doctor to make sure you are healthy, and for tips on starting an exercise program. Start slow, and work up to a comfortable workout. Consult a nutritionist for help on food selection, or do your own research online.

You cant go wrong with fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, whole grains. Make sure you don't crash diet! You have to eat enough or your metabolism will shut down rather than increase. Cut out as much of the fat, refined flours, refined sugars as you can, doing it slowly over a few weeks if you need to., If there is a particular food you just have to have, eat it in moderation, dont totally deny yourself or you will sabotage your efforts.

Bottom line . experiemtn and find what works for you, then stick with it, forgive yourself when you slip up, and go on!

Enjoiy your life!

Weight Watchers works great I hear
Limit calorie intake to about 1800 calories a day with no refined sugars or white flour. More vegetables and fruit. A few cubes of sugarless chocolate a day. Exercise more - every day if possible. In eight weeks I've lost 20 pounds with this formula. Hoping to do another 20 over the next couple months.

Hey coaconut - good suggestion on the floor with rags! I'll borrow that one!
willpower, despite all the diets out there, your best chance of losing weight depends solely on your willpower, or lack thereof. No diet will work unless you make it work.
Cut back on the amount you eat and walk 2 to 4 miles a day-it worked for me I lost 70 lbs!! GOOD LUCK!

I lost 180 lbs once - I got divorced - LOL

honestly though, it takes alot of will power, sometimes medical intervention, and a day to day commitment to yourself to exercise and eat right. Weight Watchers works - but you have to be in the right frame of mind. If it were easy we'd all be thin.
Do Master Cleanser. It is a detoxification regimen that has the ancilliary benefit of weight loss. I lost sixty-five pounds on it. Purchase the book by Stanley Burroughs: Master Cleanser with Special Needs and Problems. Read it carefully and follow the directions. There is a lot of New Age hokum in there, but the "diet" itself: lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water is a great detoxification system. I did 30 days in July 2005, and 35 days in March 2006, after I had gained weight from a depressing Vermont winter. The first three days are hell. After that, it is like you found religion. Best of luck.

60 LBS may be unrealistic.

You have to ask your self what is reasonable.

If you weigh 150 lbs and you want to lose 60lbs thats a lot of weight ot lose. That would be 40% of your entire body weight.

If your 400lbs 60 lbs should melt off like butter. The easiest way to accomplish your goal is to EAT HEALTHY, EAT 3 TIMES A DAY NO MORE, DONT DRINK SUGAR IN YOUR DRINKS(AKA WATER ONLY). And do 30 minutes of exercise every other day and you will start watcing the lbs melt off.
www.discussbodybuilding.com will aide you with a healthy diet, and give you a basic work out system.
Of course, Diet and Exercise..
Being fit is a lifetime achievement. It doesn't happen over night. Right?
Try this, try to cut out as much carbs as you possible can in your diet..
Carbs stick to your sides and your thighs and butt. As bad as that sound it also blocks the blood flow to and from your heart and unfortunately over time it can cause major issues like stroke, or heart attack to name a few. Now I'm not saying you have to completely cut carbs out of your life coz that's really hard to do, but you can at least cut it down a bit.
Remember your biggest critic is yourself.. If your not content with yourself then you know what you need to do and you know how far your willing to go.. But, don't be to hard on yourself because in the long run your only running your self esteem down. Right?
Heres some carbs to try to stay away from:
bread
rice
cakes
potatoes
pastas
chips
Debbie's
pancakes
waffles
biscuits
I can't think right now but you get the point I hope.. I hope this helps and don't forget to continually give yourself some credit. GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!
First, it is mostly not your fault that you need to lose weight. The way that you have been taught to eat is responsible (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) for making obesity the #1 health problem in the world behind hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).

You need to learn a whole new way to eat. Below site has that info. Find out the absolute quickest way to lose weight, slow ways to lose weight and how to lose bodyfat, retained water and a 3rd thing. Learn about anti-water which makes water unable to work. Take the time to learn everything on below site. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not and be part of this pandemic.
Alot of good advice for you here. I don't agree with the one about the cleansing but besides that one, pretty good advice! To lose weight, you'll want to exercise, as you read many times with the others, there are different ways to do it now. You can go to a club, you can take walks, or you can do it at home by ordering a dvd. All kinds of fun good workouts are available. From Richard Simmons, to kickboxing, to tae bo, aerobics, you name it, you can get it. To burn fat you will need to work out for 20 minutes minimum and it will be difficult at first, this is why you'll need to do something that you enjoy, this will help you to keep doing it. The exercises must be done 3-4 times a week to start, and walking or doing something inbetween would be a good idea as to keep you moving and get your metabolism bumped up a notch. You will need some days off to recover, normally not 2 days in a row to start, because then it's too easy to just stop.

One of the reasons we gain weight is because we're taking in more than we're burning, so begin to cut back on your meals, eat smaller portions, and eat fruits and healthy things inbetween when you get hungry, and you will get hungry, especiall when you start exercising. As was said above, just limit things, and cut the portions down a notch. Stay away from these things, except for one day a week: cheese, fast foods, sodas, fried foods, sugary treats. Eat what you want one day a week and then the next day cut back to what you were doing.

You can do this! I have ladies comining into the club that have lost this weight, and they've made working out part of their life style, so it's just a part of their lives now, they love it. You will feel better, look better, emotionally it's alot better too, oh it also works off stress, yeah! Hope this helps, have fun with it! Make it a fun thing!
Diet pills should only be used by patients under a doctors' care and then only when non-pharmaceutical treatments have been attempted.
The tried and true method for losing weight is simple and effective. Reduce your caloric in-take and increase you caloric expenditure. It's real simple; in other words stop eating so much and start exercising more.

From about August 2004 to January 2005 I went from 177lbs to 225lbs while working in Iraq. I decided to take my own advice above and went down to just 1 or 2 meals each day and worked out at the gym 5 or 6 days every week. Eight weeks later I was down to 180lbs had lost 48lbs.

KEEP AWAY FROM THE FOOD & KEEP WORKING OUT!
