I've gained 6 lbs in 2 days!!?


Question:
Ok, I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and didn't gain any weight the first week from that. Then 5 days ago I started working out a lot. I did eat pizza two nights in a row and have not been able to go number 2 since then (2 days ago). I went from weighing 138 to 143 in 2 days! I also am getting my period next week and am on a new pill. I know there's a ton of factors that could possibly be causing this. Oh and I have drank minimal amounts of alcohol the past week.. but I'm just freaking out, because I've been working out a TON the past week and mostly eating well and can't believe I've gained 6 lbs in two days. If anyone has any ideas as to why, or if they've experienced this, or they know for a fact it's one of the listed factors I gave. Let me know. I couldn't even button any of my pants today! My stomach is really bloated. Not my gut, but my actual belly. I usually never get my whole belly bloated. I'm nervous.

Its probably a combination of water weight and constipation thats causing both. As for the actual weight, weigh yourself at the same time every time, like first thing in the morning before you eat breakfast, you get more consistant numbers. Try not to weigh yourself everyday, it'll drive you nuts. Do it about once a week. Congrats on quitting smoking!

you should try to drink more water maybe chew gum. but this weight loss program with exercises will keep you busy enough that you hopefully wont think about smoking. its good to just get up and go for a walk when you feel that wanting to get into food feeling.

lots of factors going on there! bloated from ur period about to start, new b/c, and no b/m! drink lots and lots of water, and yeah alcohol can increase fluid retention. u will be fine, just give a little more time.
