anyone know a way to lose 20 lbs in two weeks?

Question:
ok so i am 16 years old and im 5'3 and weigh 125lbs do you guys have any of advice to lose 20lbs in 2 weeks? is it possible? im going on vacation so i want to look good.

Answers:
To lose that much weight in that short a time, first make sure with your doc that it's safe. If that's a green light, you'll need to change diet and add a lot of daily exercise to make your goal in that short amount of time.

1) get all refined sugar and simple carbs out of your diet. No sodas, no fruit juices, primarily water and Crystal Light. No bread, no pasta, white rice. Take a look at Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet for specific guidelines. Even if you don't go past the 14-days, it'll help a lot.

2) You'll need to build daily aerobic exercise into your schedule. I suggest either running or bicycle, try to get to an hour a day as quickly as possible.

I've lost 7 lbs. in 8 days doing this, but I'm not going hog wild on the aerobic exercise daily.

that would be hard to do but you can try yr best. this article has some great weight loss programs and exercises that you can try
Cut back on the amount you eat and exercise more.
If you're 5'3" and 125 lbs, you'll be disgustingly skinny if you loose 20 lbs. 125 is fine. 105 is gross.
not a healthy way
Crack, crank, heroine, pcp

good luck!
I know it sounds awful, but starve and puke!
Dont try because it puts too much strain on your body and is very dangerous plus I as a man prefer the curves of a healthy woman than they skinny womans weight.
when u eat three square meals a day always eat a fruit and a veggie trust me
cut off an arm, and start on the other one if the first one isn't a full 20 lbs!

it can not be done
you probably are fine! dont think your too fat ok! fat is globby stuff! your probably mostly all meat!! but if you doo have BloBs then run on the spot like you have never before !!!!
It's very unhealthy.
excercise, run, no more junk food, eat healthy
Take your finger and stick it in the back of your throat and...
125 isn't overweight
125 doenst sound soo bad. Well you can start laying off all the fatty crap and start eating some vegitables. No ice cream or any sweety fat crap. Exercise or poloties
Excercise every morning, run a mile in the morning. Then, Go home and do some excercise. Dont eat meat. Just eat veggies. Take diet pills. Eat a vitamin everyday. Then after two weeks, u will be in the best shape.
eat 3 little potion healthy meals, buy an abb roller and increas the rolls by 5 every night and also dance very hard for 5 minutes- it worked for me!
try sniffing crack
you're crazy. you are the ideal weight for your height. why do you want to be skin and bones? 105 would be gross on you. if you must do something, just exercise and tone up some. you're fine.
you really can't without endangering your health seriously

just start a good diet & exercise routine now & with all of the activities you do during vacation you will loose weight then also

being a teenager means feeling a lot less than self confident, you don't have to be a barbie doll to be beautiful, 5'3 & 125 is not a bad weight at all and you will still look georgous in a bikini!!

take care of yourself, the body you have now has to last a life time!
it will be very hard but try this.

first of all, start eating organic foods, wheat bread rather than white, and for a healthy beverage combine yogurt, frozen berries, ice, banana to make a smoothie. also, stop eating cookies, cake, etc.

second of all, exercise. i personally like taebo and pilates!

good luck =)
That is impossible. Even if you starve yourself, you cannot lose that much weight. If you do it will all be water weight and you will become dehydrated. Just eat healthier, do a lot of cardio. It works.
My advice is that you don't. However, I had a friend who wrestled and in order to make weight before a match he would wrap himself in plastic wrap, then put on a sweatsuit and ride a stationary bike in the showers with all of the heads on full blast with the hottest water coming out. He HAD to make weight though because 265 was the highest weight and if he didn't make weight he didn't wrestle. It's all water weight though and as soon as you drink something it all comes back.
you shouldnt be losing that much weight in 2 weeks cuz it can kill you. Ur 125? what's wrong with that? I think that's a pretty good size for your height, but if u really want to lose a few pounds you could try eating nothing but protein for the next 2 weeks. You could probably lose like 8-10lbs..maybe more. You shouldnt be on that diet for more than 2 weeks though cuz it's necessary to put some carbs in ur body. But yea, just for these two weeks eat lean meats, nuts, green vegetables, eggs, cheese..and that's it. Drink lots of water and make sure you do some exercise too.
START WORKING OUT AND RUNNING. WORK OUT ONE DAY, THEN RUN THE NEXT. ALTERNATE. DRINK LOTS OF WATER (CUT OUT THE SODAS AND BEER). MAKE YOURSELF SWEAT. YOU CAN TRY THE EGG ONLY DIET. GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU LOSE TEN POUNDS IN A WEEK IF YOU STICK TO IT. SWEAT, SWEAT, AND SWEAT. BUT DON'T MAKE YOURSELF SICK! SEEING A DOCTOR IS BEST BUT THEY WON'T OK ANY RAPID WEIGHT LOSS METHOD THOUGH.
Cut off you right arm!!! :) Just kidding but I hate giving you the answer because you are young and it can really damage your digestive system and your overall health. With that said its your life so here goes. You can only lose about 2 lbs of fat in a week. The only other weight you can lose is skeletal(bones) or water.
Losing water weight is the way most people cut weight fast. First thing to do is get a plastic suit or a sweat suit or layers of clothes. Secondly on day one take in a lot of water, I know this sounds like an opposite but I am trying to keep you alive. Next things is to find an exercise bike, treadmill or elyptical machine.
Thirdly get ready to workout. Workout for about an hour in the morning and in the evening. ONLY drink 2 cups of water per day after day one. Eat one banana a day for potassium.
Fourth thing is too cut your calories to about 1000 cal. You will feel dog tired all the time and be moody but hey its the price you pay. (Make most of your calories protein i.e. LOTS of meat. Without carbohydrates your body will release water in your system and keep you from being bloated.)
Lastly you will drop weight fast so get lots of sleep, and on vacation keep your water to 2 cups of water per day and stay out of the sun or atleast keep cool. The sun will make you nutty if you stay in it for too long after a major weight loss.
After your vacation send me an e-mail (iceyjo@yahoo.com). I will tell you how to get control of your body image issues and how to stay in shape for life. Take care and be safe.
10 quick pounds, but if your're not careful you gain right back.
Drink lots of water. Can drink diet soda with each meal.

Day 1- 2 bananas for each meal. BF, Lunch & dinner = 6 bananas

Day 2 - 2 hard boiled eggs for each meal. Bf, lunch & dinner. = 6 eggs

Day 3- 2 lean breakfast steaks for each meal. BF, Lunch & dinner = 6 steak cuts.

Drop 8-10 pounds. Can be more if you combine with exercise. Cannot repeat diet within one month's time.

Hope this helps.
Healthy weight loss tips

* Take one pound at a time
Don’t get overwhelmed by how much weight you need to lose. Try to remember that "losing 15 pounds in two weeks" is nothing to celebrate. It is important to realize that the more quickly weight is lost, the more likely the loss is coming from water and muscle, not fat.

Since muscle tissue is critical in keeping our metabolism elevated, losing it actually leads to a decrease in the amount of calories we can each day without gaining weight.

Fat loss is best achieved when weight is lost slowly. Strive for a weight loss of no more than 3-4 pounds per week. One pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories.

* Set Reachable Goals
For instance, if you know you need to get more exercise, begin with a manageable goal of, say, walking 10 minutes a day that you know you can achieve. Then build your self-esteem by achieving the small goals you set yourself.

The same logic applies for losing weight.

* Stay off the scales
Don’t get discouraged when your progress seems to be slow according to your bathroom scales. They do not provide a true measure of what is going on with the body.

If exercise levels are adequate (5-7 days a week), you may be putting on muscle but losing fat, thus losing inches even if you are not losing pounds. It's always a good idea to do several body measurements to have a second objective way to monitor progress.

* Stay focused on being healthy, not thin
# Many people become more successful at long term weight loss when their motive changes from wanting to be thinner to wanting to be healthier. Change your mindset to think about selecting foods that will help your body's health rather than worrying about foods that will affect your body's weight. The Food Pyramid offers a basic outline of the types and amounts of food you should eat each day to give your body the nutrients it needs for optimal health.

* Fat Free?
We've known for some time that limiting high fat foods in the diet can be helpful with weight loss. That's because fats pack in 9 calories per gram compared to only 4 calories per gram from proteins or carbohydrates. To many, the message to limit fats implied an endorsement to eat unlimited amounts of fat-free products. Just to clarify, fat-free foods have calories too. In some cases fat-free foods have as many calories as their fat laden counterparts. If you eat more calories than your body uses, you will gain weight. Eating less fat will help you to lose weight. Eating less fat and replacing it with excessive amounts of fat-free products will not.

* Drink plenty of water
Drink eight glasses a day. Water is a natural appetite-suppressant. Nettle tea is a great weight-loss tea as it supports metabolism and has diuretic properties.

* Reward yourself
# Each time you reach a goal, such as losing 5 pounds, reward yourself with a gift or a massage.

* Seek help if you need it
# A big key in long term weight control comes from receiving encouragement and support from others. Find a friend to lose weight with or you can check to see if groups such as Weight Watchers, or eDiets offer programs and resources in your area by clicking the links. You may also wish to check with your local hospital to see if their registered dietician conducts group weight loss programs.

* Watch your portions
With the advent of "supersize" meals and increasingly huge portions at restaurants, our concept of normal serving sizes is a distant memory. Be mindful of the amounts of food you consume at a sitting. When necessary, divide your food in half and ask for a take home bag. It is all too easy to be a "plate cleaner" even when served enormous portions. Learn to pay attention to your hunger level and stop eating when you feel comfortably full, not stuffed.

* Eat your food slowly
Did you ever notice that thin people take an awfully long time to eat their food? Eating slowly is one method that can help take off pounds. That's because from the time you begin eating it takes the brain 20 minutes to start signaling feelings of fullness. Fast eaters often eat beyond their true level of fullness before the 20 minute signal has had a chance to set in. The amount of calories consumed before you begin to feel full can vary significantly depending on how quickly you eat. So slow down, take smaller bites and enjoy your food.
