15 pounds a year cause pop?

Kay, I drink pop every day and water. I Guess I Cant Help It. But the only kind of pop I drink is Diet kind. Is that still in the thing where youll gain 15 pounds a year cuz of it? and if i quit drinking it and only drink water and such.. would i loose weight, I already exercise and everything..

Answers:
Technically, since it is diet there are no adverse caloric effects on your daily intake. However if you are overdoing it (more than 2-3 a day) the excess caffeine could affect your metabolism. Good rule of thumb: water is key - at least a gallon a day.

the chemicals in diet pop are actually worse for you than the calories in regular pop... switch to low calorie flavored water. if you want a pop once in a while, just drink regular... but keep it to one a week or less. caffeine withdrawal will be tough for the first week or two but once that's over you'll feel much better in general too.
