Thinking of getting a fitness trampoline. Anyone know the benefits of these and how they improve fitness?

The benefits depend greatly upon how often you use the trampoline, and the amount of time you use it per session.
The most apparent benefit is the cardio-vascular workout you will get.
Ideally, cardio should be performed for at least 30 minutes if with other exercises, 45-60 minutes if done alone in order to get your heart rate to a point where you will effectively burn calories.
If your intent is NOT to lose weight, but simply to increase endurance, DO NOT do any cardio for more than 30 minutes a session, and do not increase intensity of the workout.
Not so apparent are the slight toning effect you will receive throughout various parts of your body- your legs, abs and back mostly (you will use these muscles not only to "jump up and down" but to keep your balance). The trampoline is a great light aerobic exercise with little or no impact on your joints, as the shock is absorbed by the springs and the trampoline itself. Instead of "jumping", try jogging in place, with very tiny steps. Great way to burn the calories!
Of course there are other exercises you can perform while on a trampoline, (such as using light weights in your hands) but most of them are better served doing them on solid ground, so as to reduce the opportunity for losing your balance and creating injury.

You can jog in place on them, do jumping jacks etc. with much less stress on your knees than doing the same thing without one.
