when can babies move to sma white as 3 week grandaughter is hungry baby and wakes regularly for feeds?

Okay, I don't know what "sma white" means. and your question is a worded a bit strangely. but I WILL say this: a 3 week baby is SUPPOSED to wake regularly for feedings! About once every 2 to 3 hours as a matter of fact. The EARLIEST that a baby should have a break in that pattern is around 7 to 8 weeks of age. at which point, if you are playing your cards right, the baby will skip one of his/her night feeds and sleep for a 4-5 hour stretch.

My recommendation for you/your granddaughter's parents is to get a book called "Babywise". It very clearly and concisely discusses a GREAT and EFFECTIVE approach to feeding that will help you raise a healthy happy baby who is easy to put down for naps and who will sleep through the night early on.

Five friends recommended this book to me, each with multiple children, and swore by it. I received it as a gift from one of them, read it, followed it and my daughter was sleeping through the night by 8 weeks of age.

My understanding is that it is NOT okay to give a baby that young cereal in their bottle. If anything, the nipple hole will be too small for her to get anything out of the bottle anyway. Ask a pediatrician about that advice before you take it.

Mix in infant rice cereal in the formula.
