How comes I've been working out for 4 months and only lost 20lbs??

Twenty pounds in four months is about right. You don't want to lose weight too fast. Keep up with what you are doing. That weight loss will add up. Working out is only part of the issue. You also have to watch/cut back on your food intake, to make your input less than what you are outputting in energy. Eat more of the green leafy stuff, and less of the Big Mac-y stuff.

That sounds about how much I am loosing a month, 5pounds and I thought I was doing good. You should to. By working out, not only are you losing fat, you are also building muscle, and muscle is more dense than fat. You have lost well over twenty pounds of fat, it's just that it's been offset by muscle mass.

20 pounds in 4 months? That's pretty darn good. Think about it, for most people, that's about half way to their goal. My dr. told me that it's suggested that loosing weight should be no more than 1-2 pounds a week. Too much is too fast.

Yes, I know loosing it slow is a pain, BUT science has shown that the slower you loose it, the better it stays off. Plus, if you loose weight too fast, you have loose skin hanging down that usually has to be surgerically fixed. If you loose weight slow, your skin usually has time to catch up with what's going on and not be out stretched.

It took me 2 years to loose 50 pounds, but you're already half way there. Took me longer. Don't give up. As long as you're loosing, you'll get it all off. Just be patient.
