Is it okay for a 15 year old to be a vegetarian?

Because I'm almost 16 and I'm a vegetarian. My mom thinks thats a bad idea. I mean I drink one protein shake or have some egg or soemthing everyday for protein. I just dont really like meat. And Davey Havok's been vegan since he was a teenager and look at him. He looks amazing and I would have his babies anyday.

sure, it's fine as long as you';re getting all of the required nutrients in a day- make sure you do alot of reading and educating yourself to make sure you stay healthy. When you say you would have his babies any day, you dont mean as part of your diet, right?

Sure its OK, as long as you get all the vitamins and nutrients that you need No there is nothing wrong with that. I'm vegan and it's a nice feeling of all the toxins that u can get from eating the wrong way.

As long as you keep up a balanced diet it should not be a problem. Make sure you get protein (it seems like you are doing that already). Sure! I wish I could, but in my culture, meat is basically a must. My parents practically shove it down my throat. If you have the oppurtunity to be vegetarian, GO FOR IT!

If it's something that's important to you then your mom should respect that. But just make sure you keep up with your protein and take multi-vitamins. You need some fat in your diet. Good fatty acids. Personally, it's ok to be a vegetarian. With vegetables, there's minimal or no risk at all. You will live a healthy lifestyle, which is great. Tell your mom that there's nothing bad in being healthy.


it's perfectly okay to be a vegetarian at a young age. be sure to research this dietary preference so that you will be getting the proper vitamins, minerals, and proteins that you need. some proteins (such as legumes) work really well as a protein source when combined with other foods (such as rice) to make a complete protein. peanut butter also is a great source of protein. also be sure you are getting all of the iron and folate you need. just do a little reading and research, and you will do great!


ABSOLUTELY YES, being a VEGETARIAN is the BEST thing you can do for yourself, not only will you remain healthier and in good shape but also your body will feel free from cruel animal deaths and that will prove to help you elevate your life style in many different ways.

I'm in my early 20's and i've been a full time vegetarian since i was 15. it turned out great for me but i made sure to replace meat protein with TOFU, soy protein and also make sure you have B Complex capsules to replace the one found in meat. don't forget to eat fresh vegetables, grains and fruits.

there are absolutely many gorgeous, compassionate people who are vegetarian and vegan and looking better than anyone else, it makes sense actually because breaking a violent cycle of animal's deaths your body and mind feel much happier.
