The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.

3500 calories = one pound. So, yes, there's a scientific way to check and make sure you're expending more than you take in, but how would you know? How do you really know how much you're burning when you're at rest. What is "moderate activity", if you try to use one of those charts to find out? The best plan I've seen--and trust me, you will lose AT LEAST six pounds a week--is The Movie Star Diet. It's only available for preorder right now, but you can save ten dollars. It is a godsend and if you're willing to work for it (which you seem to be) then it will be your ticket to the best body you could ever dream of.
Drink more water, exercise as much as you have been lately, and eat lots of fiber. That's all I did, and lost 8 pounds one week. But if you are exercising as much as you say, then your fat has turned into muscle (or beginning of muscle) and we all know that muscle weights more than fat.
Good luck!!!
there are many ways look for some weight loss tips on this site
take loads of speed and go for a run
I did the atkins, pretty much no carbs, cereal, breads, soda, You can eat all the meat and eggs you want I did it and lost 10 pounds in a week in a half. but be careful because if you dont stick with it you can gain it back.Good Luck
Certainly smaller portions and increases exercise should be enough to lose 6lbs. per week, depending on your metabolism and current weight.
Do it now - don't wait. As you get older, the body hangs on harder to fat...
You need to do some reading about burning calories. you dont burn like 2000 calories on a bike you burn like 600 if you weight 170lbs and do 1hr of moderate biking.
remember it all depends on your weight, if you weigh a lot then you lose a lot but the more you drop the longer it will take.
You should eat about 2000 calories no matter what and dont rush or have high expectancies cuz thats the reason why ppl dont lose anything they dont lose as fast as they want and give up.
This is a great website for health and weight loss. it has a fitness and bmi calculator and healthy recipes.

Losing more than 2 pounds per week is considered unhealthy. Eat less and exercise more.
Despite whatever is written about dieting, there is only one solution to reduce weight and that is:"EAT LESS, EXERCISE MORE!"
Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.
