Question:
I have estimated my resting metabolic rate and i burn about 1600 calories a day..I normally ate more, thus contributing to my mysterious weight gain..ha ha. So I decided to take off an additional 500 calories a day from the 1600 and i am left with 1100 calories.. How would i divide that up during the day.. i know breakfast is important and i also want to be able to eat 4-5 small meals a day. how do i do that?

Answers:
I have personally tried the following method is and found it to be very effective.

Calorie Intake = CI

35% of CI 1 hour after rising (meal 1)

5% of CI (snack 1) midway between meal 1 and meal 2

30% of CI (meal 2) 1.5 hours after snack 1

5% of CI (snack 2) midway between meal 2 and meal 3

20% of CI (meal 3) 1.5 hours after snack 2

5% of CI (snack 3) no later than 4 hours before you sleep
