Get moving, it helps speed up your metabolism too. In fact, even standing helps you. Walk everywhere you need to go. Eat several small balanced meals (protien and complex carbs) throughout the day prepared ahead of time. Eat fruit. Drink lots of water. Exercise more, swim laps for an hour everyday.
Well 30lbs is a lot to lose in 35 days. I would start by not eating sugary foods and white foods like pastas and breads. I would only drink water instead of sodas and juices. Try running or jogging. Good Luck!

You have to begin with understanding that a person has to love you just as you are. If you wanna lose weight dont do it for somebody else, is not worth it. Do it for yourself, your health and well being in general. Your mom is right but all you need to do is eat healthy and get moving! Excercise a lot and dont eat junk or too much carbs and you will see big results in no time.
I hate to break it to you but you probably aren't going to be able to pull off losing 30lbs by July 30th. It is the end of June, which gives you about a month to lose some weight. What is a feasible amount of weight to lose in a month would be between 10-15lbs (15lbs being on the high side).
The best way to do it naturally would be to start excersizing daily, maybe get some workout tapes or start going to the gym. You need to be active to help lose weight fast. Don't overdo it though - you will need to let your body rest - so if you workout hard one day, take time to rest the next day.
On top of excersizing you should watch what you eat. Calories and fat are what keep you at a certain weight. So if you eat 3000calories a day, you can safely cut down to 2000 calories which will ensure weight loss. Eat food that is low in fat and high in protein - like grilled chicken, steak, veggies, etc. Stop drinking soda, limit juice intake, don't even think about eating any junk food, fast food, sweets, etc. And lastly - drink TONS of water/gatorade/fitness water, etc.
If your mom will let you - talk to her about talking to a nutritionist who can help you learn to eat well and lose weight. Also keep in mind that you should lose weight for yourself - not for anyone else. Good luck and stay healthy.
Look on line at the cabbage soup diet . Its pretty much cabbage soup for 7 days with fruits and veggies, no meats or breads. The seventh day I think you might be able to try chicken, people report 10 pound weight loss in one week I did it and flunked on the 4th day but I lost 5 pounds and my jeans fit again. You do not need to lose weight for anyone but yourself. You said it correctly..shallow. If this girl only considers people who are in shape, then she is ignorant, conceited and probably insecure with herself. Although you may not realize this now, ten years from now you won't even consider this type of girl. You are who you are and be proud of yourself, no matter what your size.
Now, if you really want to trim down, a good eating plan and exercise will take it off gradually but the results will last much longer than a starvation diet or extreme exercise regimen. Point is, you have to like you for you and lose weight for you or for your health and look at attracting a female as an added bonus to that more important goal of pleasing yourself.
30 pounds in a month isn't realistic, but by lifting weights and walking/jogging, you could lose 15 or more and build some muscle mass. Muscle is smaller on the body so you might weigh the same but look slimmer. Don't go on any drastic diet, be reasonable and set reasonable goals.
