What causes the sores and staff infections on the legs of morbidly obese people?

People who are morbidly obese have very poor circulation in their extremities. Because of this, blood pools there, and when it dies it disn't flushed from the body via the kidneys.
This dead and decaying blood then causes the infections.

This is exactly the same thing as a bedsore. In fact, Christopher Reeves died form a bedsore. The infection spread to his heart, which triggered his fatal heart attack.

Poor circulation is the main cause. There can be other conditions such as diabetes. These are the two main causes I have seen. usually the sores are caused by poor circulation and then they can become infected.


The weight of fat occluding blood vessels and allowing tissues to starve of oxygenated blood!!
