If I up my calorie output by 1000 cals a day &dont increase my food intake how much weight can I lose in 7 wks

Question:
I dont plan on changing my diet since I think the issue is more my laziness so if I eat the same but burn 1000 more calories than I currently am how much weight can I expect to lose in the next seven weeks?

Answers:
If you can up your activity level by 1000 calories per day, you should lose about 1 pound in 3.5 days. This is based on the fact that 3500 calories = 1 pound. However, several other factors may cause this to vary. If you sweat a lot, you will lose more weight initially from water loss, but this will taper off after several days. Also, it is difficult to keep calorie intake down when you increase output, but this desire should fade after a week or two if you are very disciplined.
Of course, people will tell you to eat a well balanced diet, but you probably know that. My tid bit of info is to drink a LOT of water. Water intake will actually keep your metabolism up and although water doesn't have calories, it will actually cause your metabolism to increase and also keep you feeling more energetic. Dehydration will make you feel terrible and unmotivated.
You need to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound. So 1000 calories a day times 49 days=49,000.
49,000 divided by 3500 is 14. So you can lose 14 calories in 7 weeks
a lb of weight is 3500 calories. you will have to do the math since i dont know how many calories a day you consume. but estimating around 2 lbs a week with each day losing/not consuming 1000 calories.
well your good intentions have a kink in their armor after about six weeks of loosing weight your metabolism will have adjusted down to the calorie intake you have cut back to and the weight loss will stop unless you maintain your metabolism by rigorous exercises. That has been the problem with just dieting and the Air Force discovered this fact during research to anticipate the effects of weightlessness on future space travelers. They were stunned to find that in about 6 weeks the body could learn to live on about as little as 900 calories a day if there was no real exercise. So cutting back on food is not very effective as a weight loss plan. There is a need to readjust your lifestyle, and learn to eat less and exercise more. If you diet and loose ( One time I went on a 900 calorie liquid diet and lost about 60 lbs in 57 days. Then it all stopped almost dead. Because I did not exercise and within 8 months I gained it all back and 5 lbs more to boot. Oh I see your going to increase your calories used by your metabolism by 1000 more a day. That would require about 2.5 hours of rigorous exercise daily to manage that sort of increase. (average exercise routine like walking briskly or even running burns about 400+ calories an hour.) That is not easy to do. You need to burn about 1000 calories to loose 1 lb.
