anorexia literally means no appetite. I'd go and see a doctor. Tell him that you may fear you have an eating disorder. if u feel like you can stop anytime and you can just start eating right now then no.
But if someone give you a plate of food and you don't eat any of it then yea i think you should consult doctor. If you think you need to lose some pounds just eat healthy and exercise but make sure you eat. anorexic people are even more ugly that a little bit overweight people.
You don't have an eating disorder and I think you are great to be dieting is such a sensible way. Eat less, exercise more. You are really a smart kid. My best friend has lost 80 pounds. We do Billy Banks Taebo two days a week and walk 5 miles three days. We also write down everything we eat. I have only lost 12 pounds, but am not that heavy. Still I feel stronger, happier and look alot better. Good luck. Yes it is. It is called Non purging bulimia. Get some help now kiddo. Please. Talk to your parents and if they don't listen talk to someone else. Your doctor, a help line.. get it now before it gets out of control. I'm leaving a site attached. notice that part of it says 'excessive exercise'.
if your still able to eat thiongs when your hungry then no, if not then you need ttalk to someone
I was overweight all my life and your weight at 14 years old as well.
I'm not sure I'd call it a eating disorder. You realize you need to loose a little weight for health reasons, so that's a good start.
She may be commenting on the fact you work out so much. If you exercise several times a day, yeah, it can been seen as an eating disorder. If you use it in moderation, about 3-4 times a week, well..then I'd say no.
The reason we get hungry is due to a drop in our blood sugar. If you're hungry, then eat, but choose healthy choices. I am pre-diabetic, former hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) I had to eat 6 small meals a day. That sounds like a lot, and to me it was, BUT it me from being hungry and kept things stable.
It also keeps your body from thinking you're refusing to feed it. If you don't eat your body goes into starvation mode where it will burn off any fat. In fact, whatever you eat is now stored as fat because it's thinking food is now scarce.
Working out is good, but don't make it your whole life. When you eat, eat healthy. By healthy I mean whole grains (because they turn into sugar in the bloodstream a lot slower than your white refined foods). Choose fruits and veggies that are low in sugars (called low glycemic foods), they don't cause a huge sugar spike. Keep the fats to a minimum, but your body has to have some fats.fat is what pads our nerve cells and keeps them protected. Also, at your age you're still needing milk and dairy, just use them in moderation too, don't pig out.
Keep on exercising (3-4 times a week (once a day will do, not every time you feel hungry)), and try about 6 small meals a day.graze on salads, a portion of meat, fruits, veggies, whole grains, and I'm sure you'll do just fine.
Me, whenever I eat at carb, I have a meat to go with it because it keeps things more stable for me.
Also, talk to your parents or a parent, let them know that you want to loose weight and ask for their help. Talk to your dr. too, they have good suggestions.
