Salt intake: How do you know if you're consuming too much or too little?

Question:
Is it correct that if you have too much salt, you'll get thirsty and sweat? Because I heard that people get rid of extra salt by sweating.

Well, what happens if you don't get enough salt? How do you know if you're getting enough, too little, or too much?

Answers:
With the possible exception of working outside in very hot weather and sweating out the sodium (salt), it's almost impossible to get too little salt. We don't need much for good health and its in virtually everything in the typical diet. Most people need to worry more about getting too much than too little. Unless you have been told by a doctor to restrict your salt intake, which requires more aggressive action when preparing the food, the best advice is to simply not add salt to your food at the table.

Other Answers:
your body will tell you if you aren't getting enough salt that means if you crave it than eat it but if you are getting to much your piss will smell really bad but if your drinking plenty of water like 2-3 or 4 L. a day your body will shed what id doesn't need I'm a soldier and i drink like 1.5 gal of water a day so drinking to much water is not the problem your body also sheds what ever of that it doesn't need
