Why does eating steak or sushi make me always have to go to the bathroom shortly after I eat it?

Question:
I always have an emergency right after I eat a steak or sushi dinner. Why is that?

Answers:
It could possibly be your gallbladder. If the emergency is accompanied by pain, gas and bloating around your middle, it could be a "gallbladder attack". I would check with my doctor and see.
I had to have my gallbladder taken out a couple of years ago. A lot of people generally call problems with your gallbladder an "attack" . I can't give you medical specifics, but with mine only certain foods would trigger it. (steak, hamburger, eggs, etc.) If your gallbladder isn't working enough to produce enough bile to break down these foods, it can cause a reaction. I had to have a procedure called a "hide-a-scan" ran on me and it takes a couple of hours, lying on your back while a machine takes very detailed pictures of your gallbladder. It showed that mine was only working 12% of the time. They can also do a sonogram of your gallbladder, taking pictures of it or to see if it is enlarged. Talk to your Doctor and explain your symptoms and they will try to find out what it is. Hope this helps some.

Other Answers:
I think your body is not yet accustomed to having steaks or sushis but give it time, when it is already use to those foods, you will no longer make a beeline to the bathroom. :)
