Answers:
Protein is a complex organic molecule built up of long chains of amino acids, while protein isolate is protein that has been isolated and removed from another substance. For example, whey protein isolate is protein that has been isolated from whey (a byproduct of the cheese-making process). Protein isolate is generally pure protein that has been taken from another source, but it's still the same as *general* protein.

The body has ways of dealing with excess proteins. The amino acids that make up proteins cannot be stored for long periods of time in the human body, and so excess amino acids are converted to other substances in the liver. These substances are glucose (which is subsequently stored in the form of glycogen to be used as a stored energy source) and urea, which is then released into the bloodstream and filtered out by the kidneys. Once the kidneys remove the urea, it is released in your urine.

Other Answers:
I don't know the answer to your first question, but I do know that excess protein consumption is very hard on the kidneys. If you are at risk for kidney disease because of heredity, diabetes, etc., it is very risky and can permanently damage your kidneys.
