Yes, it does. Ginger Ale fights against the germs that cause a cold or flu too.

The bubbles sometimes make your tummy feel better

A light soda helps keep up the hydration. 7Up is good too, but other than that.nothing. haha! bullshit!

The ginger in ginger ale helps calm an upset stomach, which is why it has been used as a remedy for (probably hundreds of) years. It doesn't do anything to help with fevers to the best of my knowledge.

no ir doesnt bring down the body temperature, but ginger is supposed to help with the relief of nausea and vomiting, provided the ginger ale you are drinking contains some real ginger extracts instead of just the flavour

Most ginger ales do in fact not settle the stomach as one answer suggests because they contain absolutely no ginger as will be noted in the ingredients. The answers regarding hydration are the one rooted mostly in fact but the carbonation could indeed help relieve certain stomach symptoms.Probably better to seek out a true ginger beer. The ginger has absolutely no impact on the fever though. An over the counter fever reducer like aspirin or acetaminophen (tylenol) will work much better.Best to see a doctor if the fever persists or is very high.
