Are you still 'working out' and making progress on weight loss if you do not break a sweat?

Question:
I exercised for two hours today. I went running on my treadmill and used my exercise bike. I went non-stop. I didn't get even a little sweaty. I'm not like totally out of shape, so maybe I wasn't pushing myself hard enough. Do you have to be sweating in order to lose weight? Is sweating a sign that you're doing something right? Or do you only sweat when you're really out of shape? I sweated like crazy yesterday when I went jogging around my block, but that's because it was like 106 degrees out.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks, guys!

Answers:
I'm a non-sweater too. I don't think I've ever broken a sweat liftine weights. That's what I do, too, I'm a trainer. Some of us are just wired differently, too. I don't sweat much and I have very little body hair. What's up with the lack of thermoregulation in my body? I never get cold, just never sweat. Get shivers easy.

Other Answers:
as long as you hit your target rate it is cool!

but don't work out more than an hour a day unless closely supervised

The amount people sweat is somewhat based on genetics. I know I break a sweat going on a 5 minute jog in the middle of winter. Also make sure you are drinking enough water. Know the signs of heatstroke and what do to do if you experience any of the symptoms.
