Weight loss through counting fat grams?

Question:
I'm getting married in just over 8 weeks and I'm trying to lose a bit of weight. I eat sensibly and I have started exercising as well but in addition to this I want to count my fat gram intake but I have never done this before.
What foods should I avoid and what can I eat without worrying? Also is there a certain amount of grams I should have in a day or is there a rule with regards to how many fat grams something have per 100 grams?

Answers:
Eat healthly choice dinners.
Lean Cuisine
Smart Ones
(check Fat Grams on box)

Don't eat over 30 grams of fat per day.

Other Answers:
I read a book once that said if your are counting fat grams dont go over 30 grams in a day total.

Stay away from starchy foods like potatoes, pastas, and rice. Eat a lot of veggies because they are mostly water and it takes more calories to digest them than they have in them. everything in moderation including moderation.

try and get more off the body then you put in it.

anything over 3grams of fat per serving is classed as hugh fat.
