Try entering a dance class, they're fun. If not, you can still stretch at home.

You have to stretch every day, then keep trying to go down as far as possible.. You should be in shape. in 6th grade they tried to teach us how to do one, and that was our process.
Practice streching and getting your legs as far apart on the floor. It takes a lot of time. It took me months to actually get a split down pat.
