Did a Dr. give you this information? If so, he or she should give you directions on how to lower it.
Provided you are not taking excessive levels of potassium supplements, the major cause of high potassium levels in the blood is kidney malfunction, which would not be helped by diet. Hyperkalemia is a serious and life-threatening disorder. However, many times when blood shows a high potassium level, it is because of a problem in how the blood draw was handled, so the first step would be to have the blood test repeated. Other than that, your doctor will have to advise you on what treatments are needed.
I have the opposite problem. I need to take potasium suppliments.
In your case, you should eat black licorice candy
and drink alot of cokes and soda's in general,
eat at MCDonalds, get chicken nuggets with
honey mustard. They should send you to the
bathroom,they are good,but no joke!!!
don't use dieretics, though, cause they can get
your potassium down too much!!!
Junk foods in general should do it,and lots of
work in the heat outside or even in doors.
Being in the hot sun doing alot of things will
lower it down alot, and all soda's with caffine
and even no caffine.
fried foods, and sugary things with no milk.
Do not drink milk,or juices!!! Limit water too.
greasy foods if you are not fat,and alot of
candy,even chocolate,though chocolate does
have small amounts of potassium, the sugar
keeps it from getting to you so much, but all
candies and cake, and basically junk food
should do it. Kool aide thats not too watered
down might also help?
but black licorice candy is known to lower
potassium levels and caffine can too.
