Best kind of food to snack on while your dieting/watchin.

I know the everyday answer is fruits and veggies.. but ugh.. there's gotta be somethin else!!

Answers:
There's ALOT you can do..with regular food to make it low calorie.
Get a fat free bag of popcorn. It'll usually be 40 calories for the entire bag (umm. yum?!?) THEN get I can't Believe it's Not Butter Spray: And just.. drench it! It tastes SO good.. and the butter spray is 0 calories.

One of the things I love to do is fool myself into thinking I am eating much more fattening foods that I actually am. I love food, I love the BAD food.. But of course, can't live off of it.. it'll make me heavy lol

What you can do is: Buy the alternative to everythings. Skim Milk, low calorie bread (40 cal a SLICE), low fat cheese, I can't believe it's not butter SPRAY, splenda/equal (whatever you like better), low fat mayo or fat free mayo or even low fat or fat free miracle whip. You get the point. Oh of course NO ICED TEA OR SODA!! Diet soda yes.. but go easy w/ the caffeine! drink lots of water.. and try and use crystal light for the water bottle. It's like 10 calories and taste great and count towards your daily supply of water.

Here's a quick example of what you can do: (If your watching calories, this will amaze you)
Get 2 slices of your low calorie bread that's 40 calories each. Get 2 slices of your low fat/fat free Kraft singles (usually 30 cals per slice) Now spray the bread w/ the Butter Spray.you see where I'm going with this? You can have a VERY BUTTERY (mmmm!!) grilled cheese sandwhich for 140 calories!! A GRILLED CHEESE sandwhich for 140 calories.. did you get that?! ****, if your looking for a "snack" and you did really well that day and you have quite a bit calories left? Hell, have TWO grilled cheese sandwhiches. 280 calories! Even though 300ish is close to a meal.. it doesn't matter. Make sure the bread is whole grain too. You'll be getting whole grains and a LOT of calcium (probably about 120%) if you ate 2.

Be creative. It's probably the best thing you can do. Just use alterntives, pay attention to serving sizes and you can have "meals" as snacks.. just keep your calorie intake 1500-1700..exercise and you'll be fine :)

i eat fat free pretzels 1/4 cup of Almonds

1/4 cup of edamame

1/4 cup of Blueberries


I love almonds, sunflower seeds, Turkey jerky ( or beef jerky)
trail mix.


popcorn is great, melons like cantaloupe or watermelon are good too. Rice cakes with a smear of peanut butter, or low-cal popsicles, Edamame is good too, very low cal and high in protein. Be Happy with who you are. I am sick of hearing people trying to loose weight. This does not mean (of course to go out and eat what you want) . But to answer you, as already said above eat what your craving in moderation that is probably gunna be the best answer you get.


there is you can eat 3/4 cearel, healty snack bars like special K or nature valley 1-2, one-half oatmeal rasin cookie. eat only 2 of those a day. yeah that is more than fruits and veggies lol


you can try granola bars and other health bars( like slim fasts). Some of them actually taste good.
You can have some cereal, with or without milk.
Sun Chips, potatoe chips are low fat or fat free.

or what works for me when i diet, which might sound wierd.. i usually eat what i want, but not whenever. You have to show yourself SOME control.

yeah WATER! ok, sorry about the fruits and vegetables thing, but the best thing would probably be celery with ranch dressing. did you know that when you eat celery you burn carbs because its so hard for your body to digest? its also PACKED with nutrients. so thats your best bet :)


Try Smart deli pepperoni slices. They are made of soy and taste yummy! 40 calories per 13 slices and is a great snack.
