Can I run on my treadmill and receive close to the same benefit as running outside?

Proper running form can prevent many injuries. Many marathoners have done the majority of their training on treadmills and have had great results. Treadmills and trail running are good ways to train and offset the physical damage incurred by running on roads and concrete. Concrete is the worst!!

Yep. You can do the same damage too. Bad ankles, knees, hips and spine.

Sure, I actually prefer the treadmill some days. Your body doesn't have to work as hard to propel you forward on a treadmill, so make sure you run at at least a 2 incline.
