whom does a no salt/ low sodium diet affect mostly?

Question:

Answers:
What do you mean by "affect"?

This diet is generally recommended by a doctor to control edema (which is water retention...meaning swollen ankles, hands, etc) and for those with high blood pressure. It is the first line of attack to control these problems before a patient is put on prescription drugs (ie-Lasix or Lasix and HPB meds).

Other Answers:
It affects the person on the diet mostly...? I don't really understand your question.
