What are the effects of caffeine while dieting?

I think it depends on how you consume the caffeine. If it is coffee it'll probably dehydrate you and you start craving some kind of pop incl it's devil-calories. If it is a caffeine-chocolate-bar, well, that is the devil itself.
May be you can drink unsweetened tea instead of coffee. Make it up like an Ice-Tea (with fresh lemon juice or so) - and schwupp - you have your caffeine and a nice refreshing drink!
