Is it normal for your weight to change throughout the day?

Question:
Is it normal that this morning I weighed 177.0 pounds, and about 5 minutes ago I weighed 182.6 pounds? I mean, I ate a lot today-- but that's 6 pounds. Is this normal? Which is my true weight-- 177.0 or 182.6? Do I actually weigh 177.0 but the food inside of me accounts for some of the weight, or do I actually weigh 182.7 pounds but it just didn't show this morning?
Thanks, guys!

Answers:
The best time to weigh yourself is in the morning AFTER you have done number 1 and number 2 ;)
This way, all liquids are expelled.. all wastes are.. no longer in there.. and your on an empty stomach so the scale should tell you what your weigh is. It's never exact, but that is your best time.

Also.. electric scales can get screwy after a while (based on a FEW personal experiences with them)

When you go later on in the day it counts w/ all the food you ate, all the liquids in you. It takes a long time for food to pass, but keep drinking water! It'll flush all the excess water weight right out of you. Also keep that in mind as well! You might be taking in a lot of sodium too.. that causes water to retain. So it'll be a mix of food, liquids, and just water being retained in you..which causes you to "gain" like 6lbs by the afternoon LOL

Also, try weighing yourself just once a week. You will really never see a change if you weigh yourself everytime you see a scale!! LOL

Other Answers:
yes, it is. weigh changes every minute.

NOT normal to weigh your self Your body weight can vary by about 5 pounds from morning to night so don't sweat it.lol

Your weight will fluctuate day to day and during the day. You will be the lightest right after you wake up and relieve yourself. You will be the heaviest right after you drink a lot of water and eat heavy meals. Just monitor your weight first thing in the morning and you will know how your weight is. I know that my weight fluctuates all the time and I just watch my trend.
