The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html
It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. And exercise too? you could lose a few if you tried
I wouldn't try that....it's a low carb diet without being low enough...and low carb diets are HARD...try cutting calories instead....1,000 caloreis for 2 weeks you could loose 8 pounds.
No one knows unless you tell us how much you weigh now, how much exercise you are going to do, what other foods you are going to eat...etc etc etc.
Too many factors go into losing weight.
Also, on day 15, you're going to gain back weight.
It also depends on how much you exercise also, maybe about 3 pounds a week but it could be more.
Look up your BMI it will tell you how much overweight you are medically. Don't lose anymore than that. Going to the gym twice to three times a week and counting down on bread and sweets for longer is probably a better idea. There is no fast fix short of surgery. Good luck.
Eat healty: grains, oatmeal as source of fiber, veggies and fruits. Subtitute beef with tofu. Do not eat much sweet stuff, and exercise.
Probably a couple of pounds. It takes a lot of time and is unhealthy if it doesn't. Drink 8 glasses of water a day, eat 3 meals that are balanced and portion controlled....lots of fruit and veggies. Also, exercise....biking, lifting weights.....no soda....cut down on bread....eat fiber
Don't eliminate breads. When you completely eliminate one category of foods that your body needs, it goes into famine mode. Which means that because you are not eating carbohydrates, your body freaks out, thinking you are going to starve. When that happens, it stores extra nutrients, and if anything, you might gain weight. You need a balanced diet of all the essential food group, sweets, lots of starches and sugars, and foods and drink with "empty calories"(that means there is no nutritional value to you and your body at all), are not considered essential. Exercise, along with your healthy, balanced diet, will help you lose weight. Remember, you don't want to focus on losing weight. You want to focus on making your body happy and healthy. However if all you care about is losing weight, there is only one thing you should do. Go swallow a tapeworm egg. It sure ain't healthy, but neither is focusing on rapid weight loss, without considering your health.
You will not lose too much weirght, but after two weeks you would not crave sweets as much. Everything will be too sweet for you. For example I cannot drink coke anymore. Once you get used not to eat as many sweets, you will naturally lose weight. I think it is a good idea, just you need to find strength not to eat anything sweet. I had my mom throw out everything sweet out of the house and not allow me buy anything. It was hard, but in one year I was able to lose 15 lbs. Good luck!
probably about 6lbs 3lbs a week
Umm honey i think ur fine but there is one thing just giving up bread wont do a thing so u just need too do a cuople sit up every night and yaga thats what i did
Love Kierra.
Getting rid of carbs completely, even without exercise, will cause you to lose quite a bit of weight for the first two weeks or so. However, you should incorporate regular aerobic and strength-training exercise along with your diet.
My wife and I did this a few years ago and eliminating carbs from your diet completely for a few weeks will cause you to lose a lot of weight, like I mentioned.
You just need to cut all caloric intake (drinks and food) to under 1200 calories a day and no more than 10 gr of fat a day.
YOu need to work out for an hour every day, like a mad woman, maybe longer sometimes twice a day. Lift five pound weights for at least 20 minutes every day.
If you don't do this you will never lose any weight. If you do, the pounds should melt off and you will be at least 20 lbs. thinner in a month or two.
It will be hard. It's your choice. No pain, no gain.
maybe you should try to learn proper grammar.
you might lose weight for 2 weeks, but real weight loss is from true, long-lasting, lifestyle changes
good luck
If you do that for 2 weeks you may lose 5 pounds, but you will gain it right back once you start eatting sweets again. You can eat sweets but you just need to read calories and work out.
Bread is good for you - its what you put on the bread that is not helpful. For example butter, or chocolate paste etc.
Eat brown bread with seeds and check for the fat or sugar quantity. Some have higher levels than others, so look at the label.
Keep away from sugars and fried foods. Replace one meal a day with a supplement diet drink. Eat 2 servings of fruit, and yes, go for a power walk to begin with then work up to a cardiovascular workout at the gym.
Cut your meal servings in half and drink plenty of fresh water.
Cheers

hey it takes dicipline and determenation to get to your goal . just taking away sweets and bread want help what about your other meals is it a good balance use your common sense and limit your food amout . and when your craving sumthin sweet go get sum gum . and good luck if this helped
If you eliminate breads, sweets and potatoes, rice, pasta and sweet fruits, you should be able to lose as musch as 10% of your weight in two weeks.
Sweets, yes. Breads, not necessarily. I lost a lot of weight quickley by eating very low fat and very low calorie. I also exercized. 3,500 calories is a pound. It's a pound up if you eat 3,500 calories and it's a pound down if you burn 3,500 calories. You can eat 3,500 cal. worth of string beans and you will gain a pound or you could eat 3,500 cal. of cheesecake and gain a pound. You get more string beans and they are better for you but you will still gain a pound. I allowed myself 1,000 calories a day, I ate whatever I wanted but once I hit 1,000 I was done for the day. I also walked for 30 minutes a day. I lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks. I lost 60lbs over 3 months. So don't deprive yourself ... just watch your calories and try to be health.
I am not sure how much you would loose by doing that but I will tell you what worked well for me. You need to figure out how many calories you are taking in each day and cut that back. I went on a diet and only ate 1000 to 1200 calories a day. I made sure I ate at least 25 grams of fiber and no more than 25 grams of fat each day. High fiber cereal is good. I lost 45 lbs in 4 months. You also have to exercise with this I walked and did situps. The most important thing is to keep a journal. Write down everything you eat. How many calories, how much fat and how much fiber. Don't cheat. This diet is not real easy to stick to but you do get results and if you eat the right foods you won't go hungry and you won't make yourself sick.
it helps, however taking diet pills like xando is more effective.

Here's my favorite diet plan...
Eat whatever you like and as much as you like... but do it fast and be done with it until tomorrow.
Try eating as if you have to get you fill of "fuel" for the next day. Eat only during a limited time slot each day - four to six hours - like from 10 AM til 4 PM, or from 1 PM 'til 6 PM... and here's the best part: You don't have to be very strict about this... cheat a little here and there if you want to - change the time slot drastically if you'd like... and drink all the fluids, (of any kind,) that you want throughout the day or night. If you stick to allowing your body to use up the fuel it has already stored before you consume more, you'll begin to become a healthier and slimmer person.
Try it.
Ok there are 2 things I need to mention before you do the wrong thing
1. your body has this thing if you loose weight and then don't stay with the diet it starts a normal thing called a survival suit and that is if you starve your self and then down the road start eating a normal routine like you did before you dieted then you will gain more weight than you are already and that is because by starving your self your body starts to add on extra fat cells so that if everr you start to starve again then it will have enough fat to compensate
2. if you really want a good diet it's easier than you think and no one ever talks about this because it's too good to be true and that is that if you eat just raw fruits and veggies drink lots of water and I don't mean kool aid and tea but just water and try to take some kind of mega vitamin your body will cut the fat and you will weigh what your body is suppose to weigh for your height it's just that simple.
Cut out sugar, starch, and fatty fast foods. Starchy foods like potatoes, gravy, bread etc. Try to walk for at least a half an hour ever day at a good pace and you'll be shocked at how good your skin will look and how easy it is to loose weight. Trust me I've done it and fruits taste real good when there cold and steeam veggies like colliflower for 15-20 min grade some cheese to melt over it and a little seasoning salt and there is a complete meal that tastes like heaven things like this really work and there easy. So loose the weight and keep it off and good luck!
Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. loose weight) and you will have more energy. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets don’t work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples: baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples: chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal; they don’t have none or little fat). 30min cardio exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardio, Tues. upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back: seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardio, thurs. lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) Fri. cardio, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising; you do this on Sunday so your body doesn’t go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stick with this you will have a great body. Also drink at least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from McDonalds, Wendy’s, ect. Because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (becon bits, cheese, dressing, ect.) Good Luck :)
