LOW Energy. Bad eating habits.?

I am 5'1 95 lbs and mother of 3. I dont get a solid 8 hours due to having a baby in the house. I have broken sleep and wake up cranky and even more tired. I usually skip 2 of 3 meals a day just from getting wrapped up in the kids and by naptime, Im out when they are. I dont eat a whole lot for dinner but tend to snack continuously until bedtime at about 11pm. I need a simple routine to keep my energy up and to improve my health. I know the one I have now is very unhealthy and taking its toll. I do stay home with my kids all day so I have the option to cook, Im just not very good at it. Please give me some ideas for routine, for making the most of the sleep I do get, and for keeping my energy levels way up to keep up with my active children. I am on a vitamin for bone density although I never remember to take it. I would appreciate any and all advice. I used to be a vegetarian so I am capable of staying healthy, I just seem to take better care of the kids than myself, like most parents.

If you are crunched for time, have a low fat yogurt and a banana for Breakfast. For lunch make yourself a salad and grab a piece of fruit. For dinner/supper make yourself and your kids a good stir fry with rice. All these foods are healthy for your body and can help increase your energy. Despite your lack of sleep, you are not properly giving your body enough fuel (food) during the day. Our bodies require that if we are to maintain a healthy working and functioning body. Otherwise by depriving your body of fuel other things can go wrong that are not very pleasant.

As for your children, are you married and if so can your husband help you out with the kids? Can you ask a friend or neighbor or a family member to watch the kids from time to time so you can get a break from them? All these things in addition to what I said above can improve your moods and health.

Learn to take care of yourself better. Because if you don't then who will take care of your children?

Good luck to you and I hope I was some what helpful!

Too little sleep can do that to you.Bad eating habits can do the same. You should eat what and when the children eat if nothing else.Vitamin supplementation is good and I hope you are using Cal-Mag from Gnld(www.gnld.com)as it is the only supplement that can reverse osteoporosis.Their vitamin supplement formula4 cannot be beaten as it is the only whole supplement available. It would also energize you because of the action of the Tre-en-en oils contained in the supplement.Mothers are always busy but you should maybe try and get your kids to nap in the afternoon and nap with them.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
