Does drinking lukewarm water really speed up your metabolism?

Question:
Some people say luke warm water is better than cold water. Which is better drinking cold water or lukewarm. Which one helps you lose more weight?

Answers:
Actually it is cold water which speeds up the diagestive system. Lukewarm water just does not make any sense, as it does nothing to either constrict the vessels, or dialate them. When you drink cold water things get more agititated, just like warm water soothes muscles, warm water slows down the diagestive tract. I really don't think either way really helps you lose more weight.

Other Answers:
i don't know but i hate drinking lukewarm water. i only drink it cold.

COLD WATER, YOUR BODY HAS TO WORK TO MAKE IT BODY TEMP, NOT WARM WATER. ice water 20 minutes before you eat will speed up the metabolism, warm water might make you feel fuller so you eat less.

Ice cold drinks help you lose weight. The coldness reduces body heat and your body burns fat trying to heat it up to the correct temp.

drinking cold because it takes more for ur body to warm up the cold water than it does warm

No eating does and eat healthy three times a day and you will lose weight./ I dont think either one really..water is good to keep you hydrated no matter what temp it is..but water tastes nasty when it isnt cold.

No. Cold water helps

I've heard drinking COLD water speeds up your metabolism, but lukewarm/cool water is absorbed faster and better for you when you are dehydrated

Your metabolism is sped up by a sudden decrease in temperature- ice cold water 10 mins after your workout (cardio preferably) will do the trick.

The body has to work harder to warm up the body than cool it, like you can sweat, but all you can do to reallly warm up is cover yourself.
Either way drink your water in plentiful amounts! No matter the temperature, water can improve your body's functions so 8 glasses or more is great!

Drink up! The only reason the temperature of your water could matter is when you've raised your core body temp such as in exercise.Cold water can defeat this thermogenisis. But it usually won't matter during the course of a regular day.And good for you.You actually spelled lose correctly. Most people don't.Good luck to ya.
