is eating too many vitamins and minerals a day bad for your health?

Question:
i eat Total (cereal) everyday. it says that it contains 100% of daily vitamins and minerals in each bowl. the nutrients are vitamin C, calcium, iron, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid, and zinc. can having more than 2 or 3 times the daily requirement harm you at all?

Answers:
Too much of anything is bad for you. You should be getting your vitamins from the food you eat, not added to your cereal or pills. Eat fresh veggies and fruits as well as some nuts every day and you will get all the vitamins you need. Go to the site listed here and you can find a lot of good info and it is by a doctor.

Other Answers:
Too much of vitamins D, E, A, and K can be dangerous for you. These other ones probably not. Eating a bowl of cereal isn't dangerous anyway. If you took tons of vitamins it could be bad. Talk to your doctor if you are so concerned.

You can overdose on some vitamins and minerals and have adverse side effects. You should only take right around the RDA and not a lot more. that 100% is the minimal to keep you alive.
The only vitamin that you can eat to much is" A"
